Chris Julian Dittmar

Chris is a german collector of original memorabilia of the American music legend Michael Joseph Jackson. At the age of 13 he has visited his first Michael Jackson concert in Prague 1996.

Two years earlier he developed his interest in the pop icon. Initially, more interested in his music, he also focused on the private person and the myth of the superstar. Long before Michael Jackson died in June 2009, Chris had started to collect personal items of the King of Pop. The items are acquired from famous auction houses, reputable private collections and people that were close to the megastar. Parts of the collection are cataloged in a book with more than 800 pages. The world's overwhelming and ongoing interest in the musician, dancer, songwriter and composer is the reason for Dittmar to present selected exhibits publicly. The private collection includes various decades of the life and career of Michael Jackson.

The Dittmar Collection is one of the biggest Michael Jackson memorabilia collections worldwide. Mainly, it focuses on the solo career of the artist and offers a unique insight into the incredible world of the legend. The collection includes, among many others and some unique items of Michaels beginnings with his brothers as the The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson gold and platinum awards, worn and autographed items, letters, movie scripts, hand signed contracts, life size figures, statues and busts, hundreds of promotional records, world tour posters and tickets, even drawings made by the King of Pop himself are among the more than 2,000 items. One of the highlights of the collection is an original stage worn Billie Jean jacket from 1988. The Dittmar Collection also includes items of historic relevance the original signed Thriller Video contract that wrote history.
